About The Position

Healthcare Food Service Worker is responsible for preparation, delivery and retrieval of patient trays and accurate setup and delivery of patient meals to ensure quality service to patient for optimum health. This position may also be responsible for working in retail areas (Food Server/Cashier); Dishwasher (automatic and manual cleaning of pots/dishes/utensils) Floor cleaning (swept/mopped); Trash/Cardboard removal. Additional work as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Knowledge of proper food preparation, handling and storage required
• Considerable working knowledge of food preparation and Serv Safe practices
• Highly proficient in the use of all kitchen equipment
• Servsafe and/or food handler safety card required within 30 days of hire
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
• Ability to work and cooperate with members of hospital staff
