Food Service Worker (Part Time)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at Shalom Park in Aurora, Colorado. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The position requires prior food service experience, including meal service, diet carts, dishwashing, and operating commercial dish machines. Days and hours may vary, and open availability is required. The pay range is $18.30 to $19.00 per hour. Free shift meals, flexible schedules, and advancement opportunities are advertised. The culinary team works to provide memorable hospitality experiences. Employees work with a supportive team serving residents and customers. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until openings are filled.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in food service, including meal service, diet carts, dishwashing, and operating commercial dish machines.
- Open availability; days and hours may vary.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
