About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves food in a high-volume dining environment, ensuring food quality and safety and delivering exemplary customer service. The role supports daily food production and service operations, ensures adherence to sanitation standards, and contributes to a positive dining experience.

Requirements

Six months of experience in a customer service capacity in food service, retail, hospitality, or related industry.
Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires).
Successfully complete the WorkSTEPS evaluation.
Required to report without delay or interruption to provide essential or emergency services to ensure health, safety, and welfare.
Must obtain the ServSafe Certification within six months of hire and maintain it throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a high-volume foodservice operation.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple activities and tasks with competing priorities.
Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary for building and maintaining successful work relationships.
Exemplary customer service skills.
Demonstrated experience providing memorable customer service interactions with customers and colleagues.
Food safety certification such as ServSafe.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food in accordance with established quality, safety, and portioning standards.
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment according to food codes and department sanitation practices.
Operate and maintain foodservice equipment safely and effectively.
Monitor food temperatures, restock supplies, and ensure uninterrupted service flow.
Complete opening and closing procedures and participate in inventory-related tasks.
Indirectly supervise and guide student and hourly staff in food production and service.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all assigned work areas.
Other duties as needed.
