About The Position

The Food Service Worker works at an elementary, middle, or high school site, serving food and helping finish food preparation according to recipe standards and USDA National School Lunch requirements. Requirements

• Previous food service or customer service experience or training in a mid-to-high-volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program compliance requirements.
• Flexible and team-oriented.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness.
• Punctuality and ability to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
• Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission of using food to help students enhance their minds, bodies, and happiness.
• Ability to work in a school environment among children in grades K–12.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food served meets Genuine Foods’ quality standards and food safety requirements.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive, upbeat attitude.
• Coordinate with team members so food is ready and served on time.
• Keep all areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize kitchen and serving areas to support efficient service.
• Promptly alert the Site Lead or Manager on duty to issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
