About The Position

The Village of Maynard Nursing Home has an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Worker to join their team. This is a permanent part-time position with shift details from 14:00 to 20:00. The role is located at 28 Halton Street, Toronto, ON, with an expected start date of June 6, 2026. The hiring rate for this role is $22.82 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. Requirements

• Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
• Hold a valid Food Handlers certification
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
• Be able to lift up to 35lbs
• Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques
• Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
• Food Service Team Members at Schlegel Villages assist with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace.
