About The Position

The Alan B. Miller Medical Center, opening in Spring 2026, is a new state-of-the-art hospital that will join UHS's growing regional network of healthcare operations. This facility will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, and a helistop, spanning 365,000 square feet. The hospital will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services, as well as outpatient services. The Food Service Worker position is responsible for the preparation, delivery, and retrieval of patient trays, and accurate setup and delivery of patient meals to ensure quality service for optimum health. This role may also involve working in retail areas as a Food Server/Cashier, performing dishwashing duties (automatic and manual cleaning of pots, dishes, and utensils), floor cleaning, and trash/cardboard removal. Additional tasks may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food preparation, handling and storage required.
• Considerable working knowledge of food preparation and Serv Safe practices.
• Highly proficient in the use of all kitchen equipment.
• Servsafe and/or food handler safety card required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work and cooperate with members of hospital staff.

Responsibilities
