About The Position
This position is for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses. The role involves servicing guests by taking food orders, receiving payment for orders, and delivering orders. It also includes preparing the workstation for guest service, cleaning up spills in the assigned work area as needed, and cleaning the general work area at the end of the work shift.
Requirements
- Basic math skills.
- Familiar with American currency.
- Be in good health and be capable of full range body movements.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to communicate in English.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with grilling or food preparation.
- Must attach resume and current semester class schedule (weekly view).
- All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
- Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations.
- Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks.
