About The Position

This role is for a Part Time Food Service Worker II (20 hours per week) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The position involves providing quality food service to cafeteria customers, ensuring speed of service and customer courtesy. Responsibilities include food preparation, setting up service areas, portioning and serving food, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with customer requests. The department serves patients, visitors, and employees with excellent customer service, focusing on patients' nutritional needs during their hospital stay to improve their clinical status and assist in the healing process. Requirements

• <2 years experience
• No supervisor experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner, and follows food safety and portion guidelines.
• Ensures work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during and after shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
• Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
• Accurately assembles meals according to the menu, diet order and correct protocol.
