This is a pool position, meaning there is no guarantee of hours. Shifts may be a mixture of 4 and 8 hours in length, with typical 8-hour shifts from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm and typical 4-hour shifts from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Some weekend and holiday shifts are required. For pool staff, a minimum of 3 days per week of availability is preferred. This role is responsible for taking orders from customers and expediting service and related food and beverage sales, or operating an efficient trayline meal service. Incumbents may be assigned to either activity and will be cross-trained in both service areas. Food handling activities are performed in accordance with external and internal guidelines and regulatory guidelines, and employees work effectively to minimize waste during the flow of food while maintaining a quality end product. Work includes accurate cash handling, and incumbents must accurately follow internal procedures and conform to established standards. An employee is accountable for the accuracy of all assembled orders, maintaining par stocks, ordering supplies, and rotating products for maximum quality. Given the extensive contact with customers, an incumbent is expected to demonstrate excellent customer relation skills. Please note: Food Services, café, and barista positions do not receive tips.
