Requirements

Read, write, and speak English at a minimum 6th-grade level.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Complete high school level computational skills.

Nice To Haves

Six months of food service and customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare menu items according to production sheets, forecasted quantities, and MHCI recipes.
May prepare salad items, cold food items, and desserts for patients and retail.
Adhere to HACCP guidelines for sanitation and infection control in food preparation and service.
Perform various tasks including patient customer service, cafeteria and catering services, patient visitation, tray assembly, distribution, service, general sanitation, cleaning, and use of kitchen equipment.
Perform cleaning tasks such as dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
May assist in food service and storage.
Demonstrate knowledge of sanitation procedures and maintain a clean, sanitary working environment.
Use and document cooling charts, vegetable wash of produce, and food temperatures.
Adhere to SPHP's code of conduct.
