About The Position

Memorial Hospital Belleville is seeking Food Service Workers to join their team. This role is part of the Food & Nutrition Department, which is responsible for providing high-quality nutrition services to patients, staff, and visitors daily. Services also include vending machines and catering for meetings and special events. The Food Service Worker will perform various food service functions, including setting up service areas, portioning and serving food, operating the cash register, assembling patient trays, and assisting with customer requests. Food preparation may also be part of the role at some locations. Daily pay is available for this part-time position (20 hours per week), which is not benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner, and follows food safety and portion guidelines.
• Assembles meals according to the menu, diet order and correct protocol.
• Ensures work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during and after shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
• Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
