The Food Service Worker performs various jobs for patient food preparation. This role involves duties for patient tray preparation, retail sales, and catering. Responsibilities include assembling patients' trays, preparing food items such as chopping, slicing, and peeling, and transporting food carts and trays to various units. The role also requires maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing pots, pans, and dishes, operating and cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash. Stocking and cleaning nourishment rooms and refrigerators are also part of the duties. The Food Service Worker must adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, utilize resources efficiently, maintain a safe work environment, address patient population-specific needs, and participate in Performance Improvement activities.
