This role involves developing and implementing storage systems, policies, and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations. The supervisor will also contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments, or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions. A key part of the role is team management, including hiring, integrating new team members, supervising personnel, evaluating performance, developing, coaching, issuing documentation, and managing employee exits. The position requires living out 452 Hospitality by delivering warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client, supporting the management team, and leading the warehousing plan for easy access and accountability of merchandise. Continuous monitoring and feedback on stock levels to the Warehouse Manager, staying knowledgeable about applicable laws, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment are also essential. The role supports merchandising products to maximize sales, increasing sales through promotional items or suggestive selling, and proactively bringing sales opportunities to the team. Performing SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps and ensuring SSAfety standards are met are critical. The supervisor will manage all warehouse functions and operations for the Retail Department, overseeing quality, product levels, and inventory. Responsibilities include receiving and processing deliveries, ensuring merchandise is properly priced and labeled, and providing proper care when handling and transporting merchandise. Assistance with the maintenance and repair of the warehouse facility and equipment is also required. The role involves accurately processing information/merchandise through a POS system and managing Accounts Payable software for invoice processing. Promoting an inclusive and supportive approach within the team and supporting company/client guidelines regarding Sustainability/Conservation efforts are also key aspects. The position supports driving community effort through hiring, engagement activities, and giving back. Other tasks as deemed necessary may also be assigned.
