About The Position

This position will be 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday, following the student calendar, with the specific hours per day to be determined. The role requires the ability to learn food preparation and follow operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service. The ideal candidate must be dependable with good attendance and punctuality. This role is crucial in providing an environment conducive to protecting the health and well-being of the school's children through high levels of food safety. The position also requires the ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community, fostering an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
• In good physical condition and able to lift up to 45lbs.
• Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.

Responsibilities

• Learn food preparation and follow operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service.
• Provide an environment conducive in protecting the health and well-being of the school's children through high levels of food safety.
• Relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
• Establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District.
• Recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
