About The Position

Cardinal Equipment Services is looking for a Food Service Technician based out of our Winter Haven location. We’re currently looking for Monday through Friday, working 6:30AM to 3:00PM. As a Food Service Technician, you will work as part of a team responsible for the disassembly, troubleshoot, diagnosis, cleaning, repair, and reassembly food service equipment. This role involves using various tools and techniques to ensure equipment is prepared for the next steps in the remanufacturing process. Techs can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and may also rotate through all or most of the process rather than being assigned a specific task.

Requirements

  • Follow all prescribed safety and security measures protecting all associates and company assets.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required by the position and comply with safety policies.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, including tape measurers and rivet guns.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective quality management and technical skills needed.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to utilize all company provided resources and technology.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance within company guidelines.
  • High school diploma or general education degree or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • Follow all Company Safety Rules.
  • Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely disassemble and reassemble food service equipment using hand, power and air tools.
  • Follow instructions based on customer and company requirements.
  • Clean all components, replace parts as needed and refinish stainless steel.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve daily goals.
  • Test for proper operation and QC check.
  • Assist with training and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clear, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Prepare and/or package finished equipment for shipping.
