About The Position

This position serves and delivers appetizing food to adult psychiatric patients and staff in a sanitary environment. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing equipment following proper protocols. Work titles that can be in this benchmark can include Food Service Aid, Diet Kitchen Aid, Food Service Aid – Utility, Food Service Aid – Driver, Food Service Aid – Tray line.

Requirements

• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Capacity to learn and perform cleaning and sanitation procedures in a safe and effective manner.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate (10-40 lbs.) loads, bend, stoop, and carry objects.
• Must pass an extensive background investigation.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must not have been convicted of specific barrier crimes or have pending barrier charges.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a commercial or institutional food service facility is desirable.
