About The Position

This is a Full Time professional position on a residential campus and is responsible for various duties to include: Will work as a member of the food services team to provide nutritional meals and safeguard the health residential clients, staff and visitors. Prepares and serves food in accordance with established menus Monitors the use of food and prepares additional quantities as needed Properly stores dietary supplies according to department procedures Note any safety issues which will require immediate notification of Program Coordinator or School Office Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care. Devereux GA Hampton facility is a residental faciltiy for female adolescents ages 10-21.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 12th grade reading level.
  • At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine
  • Successfully pass The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional training in food preparation preferred.
  • Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.
