This role involves assisting Shift Managers in supervising multiple food service units. The Food Service Supervisor will oversee the production of menu items, manage cash readings, lead associates, schedule staff, and participate in hiring and training. They will also learn to resolve labor relations issues, track inventories, and generate reports on sales revenue, labor, and food costs. A key aspect of the role is maintaining positive communication with patrons and promptly addressing their concerns. The supervisor must ensure strict adherence to Compass’ Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and WHMIS regulations. This includes coordinating workplace inspections, conducting WHMIS training, reporting accidents, and ensuring Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are followed in food preparation.
