About The Position

Plans, coordinates and supervises, under direction of Food Service Director, all activities related to the patient tray line production system at System Business Office in Oceanport, NJ. Assumes authority and responsibilities during Food Service Director's absence. The Food Service Supervisor will support the Retail Operation in the Food & Nutrition Department. This person will utilize technical training and interpret government mandated nutritional standards in the healthcare industry on food health to support healthy menu implementation plans.

Requirements

• Requires at least two years of food service experience
• high school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• some supervisory experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises patient food service activities, complying with established standards
• Leads patient service staff to ensure meals are properly prepared and delivered to patients
• Conducts rounds on patients/departments
• Oversees the diet office and the service ambassador program
• Record safety and sanitation compliance
• Supervises tray line operation and/or the room service program
