About The Position

The Food Service Specialist II prepares and serves quality meals for individuals in inpatient and enhanced residential facilities, working primarily at Lighthouse Services in Woodward. The role helps ensure meals are prepared and served safely, efficiently, and on schedule, and supports a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food-service area. The position also provides direction and assistance to employees handling simple, routine food preparation and serving duties. Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity, and employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.

Requirements

One year of experience in commercial or institutional food service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of vocational or technical school training in food preparation may substitute for the required experience.
Pass an OSBI background check.
Possess a U.S. driver's license for job-related travel if necessary.
For safety-sensitive positions, submit to a urinalysis drug test following a conditional offer; appointment is contingent on a negative result.
Meet physical examination requirements, including occasionally lifting or carrying 50 pounds and pulling a maximum force of 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals for inpatient and residential facilities.
Use a variety of cooking and baking equipment and supplies.
Cut and prepare meat, poultry, and fish.
Fry, roast, bake, and prepare a variety of foods.
Help maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen and food-service area.
Provide direction and assistance to employees performing simple and routine food-handling and serving duties.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
Work as part of a team to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
