About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 to lead daily foodservice operations at their client site in Marietta, Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing a kitchen team, managing financials, coordinating catering, and ensuring food safety compliance in a no open flame kitchen. It offers broad exposure to financial management, catering coordination, and food safety leadership.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Food Service Manager or similar foodservice leadership role
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling food costs
- Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety compliance
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and catering logistics independently
- Comfort working in a small, close-knit team environment
- Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day food service financials, including inventory control and meal cost management
- Oversee a 3-person kitchen team preparing breakfast and lunch for approximately 40 guests daily
- Coordinate catering operations, including event setup, food delivery, and pickup
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP) in a no open flame kitchen environment
- Manage cashless point-of-sale operations and daily transaction accuracy
