About The Position

The Food Service Management position supports the administration and oversight of various Child Nutrition Programs (CNP), including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), After School Snack Program, Special Milk Program, Nutrition Education and Training Program, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which encompasses the At-Risk Snack Program and Family Day Care Home Sponsors. The role involves providing technical assistance to administrators, child nutrition personnel, and state staff in interpreting program regulations and resolving management and operational challenges to ensure effective implementation and compliance with statewide child nutrition programs. Please note: This role requires a consistent, in-person presence at the designated workplace in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and does not offer remote, telecommuting, or hybrid options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition, Home Economics, or a related field [official transcripts required upon hire] OR Four (4) years of experience in Child Nutrition programs.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory to perform necessary job-related travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the distribution of recordkeeping forms, instructional materials, and related documents to program participants and staff.
  • Organize and assist with the approval of applications and agreements for all program participants, including renewal applications.
  • Audit all reviews conducted by field staff for program participants.
  • Calculate overclaims and generate repayment schedules, submitting the information to the Claims Processing Supervisor.
  • Track organization-wide audits of institutions that are required to have one.
