The lead will also interpret department policies, monitor general operations, and ensure timely completion of work. Key responsibilities include managing food production quality, resolving issues during the shift, and acting as a training resource for food preparation, service, and sanitation. The position also involves forecasting food needs, managing requests, inspecting equipment, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Depending on operational needs, the lead may also perform duties of a Food Service Assistant or Food Ambassador, including patient meal assembly and delivery, dish room duties, cashiering, and food preparation.
