About The Position

The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for a Food Service Lead position at the Anchorage Correctional Center (ACC) located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves training inmates in culinary arts, including food preparation, sanitation, hygiene, safety, and the proper use and cleaning of industrial kitchen equipment. The position ensures food serving methods meet State of Alaska’s Department of Environmental Conservation standards, adjusts work schedules based on inmate availability, documents prepared diets and food items served, and verifies that hot/cold food carts are accurately loaded and temperature-checked before leaving the kitchen.
