About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising and performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of food service facilities, equipment, and grounds. The Supervisor will ensure that all facilities and equipment are in safe, sanitary, and efficient working order, meeting all health and safety regulations. This role involves direct supervision of maintenance staff, coordinating work schedules, and managing repair projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of work history, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work, to be detailed in the application.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance and repair, with a focus on food service equipment.
  • Knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations relevant to food service environments.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience.
  • Vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the work of maintenance staff engaged in the repair and upkeep of food service facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of food service equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other kitchen machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential problems, safety hazards, and areas needing maintenance or repair.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all food service equipment and facilities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, and manage procurement as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
