About The Position

Responsible for the coordination of patient meal service team, including diet office, tray assembly, tray delivery and dish room functions. Performs opening and closing responsibilities of department. Adheres and monitors unit, departmental and hospital policies and procedures and compliance. Maintains open dialogue with Senior Managers, managers, dietitians, supervisors, nursing, and support services staff regarding all aspects of patient meal service. Implements all THS FANS policies as they are rolled out. Assures that patient services colleagues are properly supported and have the tools they need to accomplish job duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Nice To Haves

Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college
Culinary experience acquired through culinary school or years of experience in institutional setting.
3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Responsibilities

Monitors and assures security of assets such as safe monies, two-way radios, computers, food product, equipment, keys, etc.
Leads in services prior to each meal period as needed.
Documents quality indicator and makes corrective action when indicated.
Monitors safety standards.
Documents accident and safety incidents of visitors and staff.
Plans, monitors and conducts employee training.
Participate in job related training and in-service education.
Performs other duties as assigned to facilitate the operation flow of the Food and Nutrition Department.
