About The Position

The Food Service Coordinator supervises the daily operations of patient meal services to ensure patients receive appropriate meals, nourishments, and snacks in a timely and safe manner, while checking tray accuracy for menus, portion control and diet needs and following up with patients verifying satisfaction. The coordinator assists with retail meal services as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of previous food service experience preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily operations of patient meal services
  • Checks patient tray accuracy for menus, portion control and diet need and following up with patients verifying satisfaction.
  • Monitors timeliness and efficiency of patient meal delivery services.
  • Assists in cafeteria as needed to ensure customers are served in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that kitchen, equipment, and storage facilities are sanitary, neat, and organized.
  • Leads by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct and motivate.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as client policies and procedures (e.g., quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel).
  • Assists in continuity of service by filling in where needed due to employee absences or other business needed.
  • Comprehends and follows written or verbal instructions.
  • Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
  • Reports to and depart from work on time and as scheduled.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
  • Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
