About The Position

This is a Food Service Cashier position for "Boo at the Zoo!" The role involves working weekend shifts (Thursday-Sunday) during the night from the end of September to the end of October. It's described as a fun but fast-paced job, perfect for those looking to earn money before Christmas. The standard work season for the company is March through the beginning of November. The position averages 24 hours per week but offers flexibility. Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving/decision-making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
  • Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player, personable, professional, upbeat, and energetic, and take initiative.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving movement and handling of boxes (10-35lbs), including lifting.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Cash handling/cashier experience and register/point of sale knowledge are a must.
  • Basic math and counting skills are necessary for cash handling.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client, living out 452 Hospitality.
  • Operate the cash register, verify money at the beginning of the day, and adhere to all cash handling and policy procedures.
  • Support restaurant prep (FOH and line) for daily operations.
  • Meet daily quick service, food service, safety and quality, availability, merchandising, and guest service standards.
  • Participate in safety logs, including food temperatures, rotation, and waste as necessary.
  • Ensure proper uniform, hygiene, handwashing, and glove use.
  • Maintain a SSAfe work environment by abiding by all SSAFETY rules.
  • Follow through on daily prep and item lists as assigned.
  • Actively support operations in the assigned role and assist with other areas as necessary.
  • Respond actively and efficiently to guest and client feedback, reporting to the supervisor to mitigate potential complaints.
  • Communicate with the Restaurant Supervisor and/or Food Operations Manager regarding any issues with daily service or quality.
  • Remain knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, and specials to share with guests.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Responsibly present a clean and welcoming experience for guests by upholding sanitation requirements.
