About The Position

The SSA Group at the Palm Beach Zoo is currently hiring a Customer Service Oriented Bartender. This role involves bringing talent to the team and delivering warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client, living out 452 Hospitality. The bartender will oversee quality, product levels, and inventory, fulfill guest needs quickly and efficiently, and resolve complaints effectively. Responsibilities include proper setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of bar(s) during each shift, demonstrating knowledge of alcoholic drinks and bartending techniques with guest service in mind, and maintaining a safe environment by serving guests responsibly. A friendly and approachable attitude, clear communication with leaders, a sense of urgency, and a professional appearance are expected. The role also requires maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, upholding company policies, and performing other necessary tasks. Additionally, the position involves promoting an inclusive and supportive approach, removing barriers, empowering growth, leading by example in sustainability/conservation efforts, and engaging in community efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excelled problem solving/decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
  • Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to perform job duties.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (35lbs) as necessary to operation, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above; accommodation upon request, please communicate directly with hiring manager.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
