About The Position

The Food Service Bartender – Keyholder is an elevated role within our bar team, recognizing team members who demonstrate the reliability, judgment, and leadership needed to support closing operations. In addition to delivering outstanding guest experiences behind the bar, Keyholders are entrusted with end-of-day financial responsibilities, closing procedures, and facility security. This role carries a shift differential reflecting the added responsibility.

  • Closing availability is required for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Bartending and/or industry experience preferred.
  • Prior cash-handling, keyholder, or supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Live out 452 Hospitality by delivering warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client.
  • Oversee quality, product levels, and inventory of product.
  • Fulfill guest needs quickly and efficiently, and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Meet expectations of proper setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of their bar(s) during each shift.
  • Express knowledge of alcoholic drinks and bartending techniques with guest service in mind.
  • Maintain a safe environment by serving guests responsibly.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards the client, guests, and staff.
  • Communicate clearly and openly with leaders for overall success.
  • Display a sense of urgency at all times.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and mannerism.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
  • Serve as the closing manager-on-duty in the absence of a Food Operations Supervisor or Manager.
  • Oversee and verify completion of all closing side work and end-of-shift duties by bar and floor staff.
  • Accurately reconcile and close out point-of-sale (POS) systems at end of shift.
  • Count, verify, and securely drop the cash bank in accordance with SSA cash-handling procedures.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough of the venue to ensure all areas are clean, secured, and equipment is properly shut down.
  • Lock and secure all designated entry and exit points at close of business.
  • Communicate any incidents, concerns, or facility issues to management following established reporting protocols.
  • Maintain accountability for keys and access credentials in accordance with company policy.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive approach within the team, with networking continuing at all units.
  • Focus on removing barriers and empowering growth and opportunity for team members at all levels.
  • Lead by example through Sustainability/Conservation efforts; display knowledge of efforts in business application and provide teaching opportunities to unit staff as necessary.
  • Engage with SSA and the unit in driving community effort through engagement activities and opportunities to give back.
