About The Position

The Food Service Associate processes diet orders and diet changes for assigned hospital units within the Food & Nutrition Patients Department. The role supports food service operations, patient meal service, food preparation, and kitchen sanitation while following HACCP and infection-control guidelines.

Requirements

• Barista or food service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with floor stock maintenance for assigned units.
• Participate in tray assembly, delivery, and retrieval; break down after meal service; and clean the kitchen and patient trays.
• Participate in cold food production.
• Visit patient rooms efficiently and pleasantly to obtain verbal menu selections.
• Communicate patient comments, concerns, or problems to the dietician, shift leader, or manager.
• Assist with food preparation and assemble prepared food for service, including preparing salads, desserts, and nourishments.
• Prepare and store all food according to HACCP standards.
• Maintain HACCP and infection-control guidelines.
• Use equipment safely, including the meat slicer, coffee urn, can opener, and dishwasher.
