Food Service Associate- Part Time
About The Position
The Food Service Associate performs the duties of the host position, involving a variety of routine kitchen duties for the hospital's Dietary Department. As a “Food Service Associate” you will process diet orders and diet changes for assigned patients, assist in floor stock maintenance for assigned units, and participate in tray assembly, delivery and retrieval, break down after meal service and clean the kitchen as well as patient trays. You will also participate in cold food production, visit patient rooms to obtain verbal menu, and communicate with dietician, shift leader or manager any patient comments or concerns or problems. Additionally, you will assist in food preparation, assemble prepared food for service, prepare salads, desserts, nourishments, and prepare and store all food according to HACCP standards. You will maintain HACCP Infection Control guidelines and demonstrate equipment safety (e.g., meat slicer, coffee urn, can opener, dishwasher).
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
Responsibilities
