Performs a wide variety of food preparation and service duties as well as health and cleanliness. This role does not require patient care. The Food Service Assistant will aid cooks in preparing meals and plating food, prepare simple meals like salads or desserts, and assist cooks with food preparation duties by cutting, peeling, or slicing. They will also greet and take customer orders, demonstrate excellent customer service, assist with cleaning the restaurant and dining area, and adhere to food safety standards at all times. Additionally, they will clean pots, pans, and other dishes in the kitchen.
