About The Position

Sanford Health is the largest rural health system in the United States, dedicated to transforming the health care experience. Mandan Sunset is a 128-bed senior skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term and post-acute care services. The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring food temperatures, maintaining a clean serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking, cleaning equipment, and processing payments using a computerized register.

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to perform basic math
• Possess an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience
• Retail counting and reconciliation of money
• Knowledge of food service
• Experience working in the food industry

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper food temperatures
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
• Prepare and serve food items
