Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of one year in restaurant or high volume food service experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours).
  • Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking.
  • Ability to work at a fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner.
  • Must possess technical skills to perform basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, and Email).
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of management and subordinates in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work in a fast, efficient and controlled manner.
  • Ability to plan and organize the activities of others.
  • Must possess leadership skills, maturity, and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of quality food production and outstanding customer service is essential.
  • Must maintain New Mexico Certified Food Safety Manager Certification.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary, Restaurant or Hospitality degree preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests entering the area or department.
  • Assist in interviewing, training, scheduling, performance and productivity of all Food Service team members.
  • Ensure quality and consistent product availability and solutions to guests.
  • Assist with communication of information distribution to the entire food service department.
  • Maintain a positive atmosphere, spirit, and morale within the department.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills by managing time and delegation.
  • Support and execute company programs.
  • Contribute in executing against and meeting financial goals.
  • Ensure that guest service standards are maintained.
  • Ensure that jobs are performed safely.
  • Ensure proper opening and closedown procedures are performed.
  • Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are performed.
  • Demonstrate good conflict management skills.
  • Assist with the coaching and development of team members as necessary in accordance with policies and procedures with support from Food Service Manager and Talent Management.
  • Take care of all department issues in the absence of the Food Service Manager, including ordering, delegating, multitasking, forecasting, prioritizing, and merchandising.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by upper management.
