About The Position

This position is part of the team that ensures the safe and fresh delivery of foods and services to patients as well as customers in a timely and professional manner. Functioning in a lead capacity, with direct responsibility for the workload and workflow of the team. Responsible for assembling and serving meal trays to patients in an efficient and timely manner. Retrieving soiled trays and recording patient intake.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED or a minimum of two years of food service experience
A minimum of two years of previous food service experience in a healthcare environment
State of Illinois ANSI Accredited Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of start date of position for employees working on their Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate
State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate required within three (3) months of hire

Responsibilities

Ensures safe and fresh delivery of foods and services to patients and customers in a timely and professional manner.

Assembles and serves meal trays to patients in an efficient and timely manner.
Retrieves soiled trays and records patient intake.
