We’re currently hiring a Part-Time Food Service Assistant I to join our Food & Nutrition Services team at our Newark campus. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference, we’d love to meet you!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks like standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Responsibilities
- Assemble patient meal trays with care and accuracy, following dietary guidelines.
- Prepare trays for modified diets (e.g., pureed foods, thickened liquids).
- Operate dish machines and maintain sanitation stations.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in all kitchen areas.
- Monitor equipment temperatures and sanitation levels.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including proper food storage and glove use.
