About The Position

This role is responsible for providing beverages and food products consistently to customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. The Food Service Assistant will prepare food and beverages to standard recipes, customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients. They will maintain a clean and organized workspace, deliver quality customer service, and follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security. The position requires maintaining high levels of sanitation of all equipment and contributing to a positive working environment by promoting teamwork and clear communication with coworkers, supervisors, patients, customers, parents, and all hospital staff.

Requirements

6 months experience in a similar position
Proficient in English both verbally and written
Work occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors, which involves courtesy.
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission.
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.

Responsibilities

Provides beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes, customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
Delivers quality customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer.
Discovers and responds to customer needs.
Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
Available to perform many different tasks during each shift.
Maintains high levels of sanitation of all equipment by adhering to department policies and procedures, Health Dept. codes and J.C.A.H.O. regulations.
Contributes to a positive working environment and promotes teamwork by taking initiative to improve overall quality and exceed customer expectations.
Maintains clear communication channels and constructive, sensitive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, patients, customers, parents and all hospital staff.
