This part-time position is responsible for acting as a key contact person between food and nutrition services and the patient. The role involves obtaining patient meal orders, providing orientation to department services, delivering meals, collecting trays, ensuring patient satisfaction, recording intake, resolving concerns, and managing diet changes. The Food Service Ambassador also utilizes software to balance nutrients, maintains patient information, generates reports, and works with the line expeditor. They are responsible for loading and transporting food carts, delivering meal trays, stocking nursing units and physician lounges, and communicating patient needs to relevant departments. Adherence to safety and sanitation standards, including isolation precautions, is crucial. The role also involves inventorying and ordering floor stock supplies.
