Food Service Aide - Per Diem
About The Position
Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and Vibra Healthcare, is seeking a Per Diem Food Service Aide for its facility in Bowling Green, KY. This role is crucial in providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with a wide range of complex medical conditions, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older

- Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling

- Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner
- Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
- Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan
- Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping
- Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menus in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences
- Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets
- Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
- Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling
