The Food Service Worker is responsible for serving food to patients while maintaining good composure. They are also responsible for following any dietary plans put forth for patients and making sure they are served the proper food. This is a per diem position, meaning work is on an as-needed basis. The role requires participation in the provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests, maintaining a clean and sanitary work station, and proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of products. The worker will also assist the Director of Food Services with kitchen duties as assigned and perform other related duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager. The position requires the ability to work weekends, concentrate amidst distractions, meet deadlines, be flexible with work hours, use kitchen equipment, and understand hygiene factors in food preparation and cleaning methods. The role involves working independently in a physically restricted environment for extended periods and serving food to patients.
