About The Position

Pilgrim Place, a senior living community in Claremont, California, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Food Service Aide. The role supports food preparation and meal service, dining room setup and cleanup, and cleaning and sanitation throughout work areas. The aide also helps organize and rotate supplies, maintain food safety, assist with special events, and perform other assigned kitchen duties. The position is part-time at 24 hours per week and requires open availability on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays; shifts may vary based on operational needs.

One year of food service and production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare assigned food items, including vegetables, fruit, and salads, and assist with meal setup.
Support meal service, prepare the dining room, and clean up after meals.
Follow proper cleaning, laundry, and sanitation procedures in all work areas.
Organize, store, and rotate supplies while maintaining food safety standards.
Assist with special events and safety practices.
Perform other assigned kitchen duties.
