About The Position

AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is opening a new 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital in Galloway, New Jersey, in August 2026. This hospital will serve patients in southeastern New Jersey and is led by a physiatrist. The team includes rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, dietitians, case managers, and other clinical and support staff. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a range of conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling
• Healthcare/restaurant experience

• Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
• Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
• Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping
• Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menus in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.
