About The Position
SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Food Service Aide for their Oklahoma City, OK location. This full-time role is responsible for preparing high-quality food, operating equipment safely, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a wide range of injuries and disorders, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Food Handlers Card

Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner
- Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
- Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
- Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping
- Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menus in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
- Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
- Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.
