About The Position

Assists with preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail
• Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. (ServSafe)

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
• Experience in healthcare foodservice desired.

Responsibilities

• Taking out the trash
• Ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware
• Delivering food to the patient floors
• Restock items
• Clean appliances and machines
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Document temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift
• Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service
