About The Position

The Westin Tempe is looking for a Part-Time Food Server to join their team at the Skysill Lounge. The Food Server will be responsible for serving food and beverages to guests around the pool area in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner, aiming for a high level of guest satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, enjoys being outdoors, and is looking for great benefits.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to be a team player.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Maintain professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Remain professional at all times, and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect, under all circumstances.
• Meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.
• Adaptable to change in work area and hotel procedures.
• Willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones.
• Ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job.

Responsibilities

• Serving food and beverages to guests around the pool area.
• Answering menu-related questions.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Pitching in and helping co-workers with their job duties.
• Adhering to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
