About The Position

Food servers are responsible for taking orders from restaurant patrons and delivering their food to them. Their duties include explaining the menu to their customers, communicating with kitchen staff and balancing dishes as they bring them to the appropriate table. Checking on customers through their meal to offer refills, condiments, and anything else they require for a satisfying experience.

Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures

Responsibilities

Review and familiarize themselves with the menu and daily specials
Greeting and seating guests
Take customer orders accurately and relay it to the kitchen using the ordering system
Serve meals and beverages promptly and professionally
Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to refill drinks and correct any problems
Clear and clean tables quickly after dinners have finished
Handle customer payments and give change
Help with setting tables, restocking service areas, and preparing for the next shift
Address customers’ complaints or concerns, providing a solution or escalating the issue to a manager if necessary
Uphold all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies
