About The Position
The Food Sanitation Specialist works in a food service environment and must be familiar with the operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting requirements of equipment used in the facility. The role involves exposure to significant heat and/or cold, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and potentially loud noise. The employee must be able to adapt to changes, understand and comprehend English, work with chemicals, and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). The position requires meeting Air Force background-check requirements. Work schedules vary and will likely include nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel is generally not expected.
Requirements
- Ability to complete and maintain annual ServSafe™ Food Handler certification.
- Ability to adapt to work changes.
- Ability to understand and comprehend English.
- Ability to work with chemicals and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Ability to meet Air Force background-check requirements.
- Familiarity with the operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting of equipment used in the food service facility.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and crouch for the duration of each shift.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
