About The Position

Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately, and taking corrective action when necessary. This includes alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. You will also handle additional assignments as requested. The working environment is normal for a food manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • SAP experience Preferred.
  • Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Must function well under stress.
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Position involves heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more).
  • Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
  • Must work in cold/hot temperatures
  • Must be able to work in wet environment
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling
  • Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently
  • Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
