About The Position

This position maintains the highest standards of quality and food safety by monitoring, testing, recording, and reacting to data pertaining to products, production, and processes. This includes verifying raw materials and finished products are in compliance with federal, state, and company specifications. The role requires producing accurate results while multitasking in a fast-paced work environment, anticipating problems, and maintaining a proactive approach. The technician will complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers. They will also maintain knowledge of laboratory functions, including operations, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, by cross-training within the Food Safety QA department and sustaining a calibration program for instruments and equipment. A continuous improvement mindset is essential, assisting in identifying and correcting opportunities to improve processes, conducting statistical process control and root cause analysis, and participating in projects that promote continuous improvement methodologies. Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in clerical related responsibilities (for example, filing, data entry) and computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science, Agriculture or related field.
  • Fluid milk testing laboratory with experience in raw milk sample testing, bottled milk testing as well as pre-operations inspections and swabbing.
